Day 1: Addis – Awash National Park
Drive from Addis to Awash National Park. Arrive in the afternoon and visit the majestic Awash River Falls. Spot antelopes like greater kudu, gazelles, and oryx, along with diverse birdlife. Overnight in Awash (Hotel or Camping).
Day 2: Awash – Wondo Genet
Early drive from Awash to Wondo Genet via Lake Ziway to admire water birds and playful monkeys. Relax in the lush forests and hot springs. Overnight at Wondo Genet Hotel.
Day 3: Wondo Genet – Arba Minch
Drive to Arba Minch via Shashemene, home of the Rasta community. In the afternoon, visit the Dorze tribe, famous for their weaving and tall bamboo huts. Enjoy panoramic views of Lakes Abaya and Chamo. Overnight in Arba Minch.
Day 4: Arba Minch – Nech Sar Park & Lake Chamo
Morning game drive in Nech Sar National Park to see zebras, kudu, gazelles, and more. Afternoon boat trip on Lake Chamo to view hippos and giant crocodiles. Overnight in Arba Minch.
Day 5: Arba Minch – Jinka
Drive to Jinka via Konso (UNESCO heritage site) and Woyto. Visit Konso villages known for stone terracing and vibrant traditions. Overnight in Jinka.
Day 6: Jinka – Mago National Park – Jinka
Visit Mago National Park to meet the Mursi tribe, known for their lip plates. Return to Jinka for lunch and visit the Ari tribe village, known for pottery and blacksmithing. Overnight in Jinka.
Day 7: Jinka – Key Afer – Turmi
Travel from Jinka to Turmi via Key Afer. If Thursday, visit the colorful Bena market, where Hamer, Ari, and Tsemai tribes gather. Continue to Turmi for overnight stay.
Day 8: Turmi – Karo – Turmi
Morning visit to the Karo tribe, famous for artistic clay body paintings and riverside settlements along the Omo River. Return to Turmi for overnight stay.
Day 9: Turmi – Arba Minch
Drive via Arbore and Konso. Visit the Arbore tribe, known for unique attire, and stop by Konso’s geological formations “New York” (Gesergio). Explore Generation Stone village before returning to Arba Minch. Overnight in Arba Minch.
Day 10: Arba Minch – Addis Ababa
Early departure to Addis via Hossaina and Butajira. Visit Adadi Mariam Church, built by King Lalibela in the 12th century. Late afternoon arrival in Addis Ababa – end of the tour.

📝 SMT Tour – Cancellation Policy
🙋♂️ Cancellation by You (the Traveler)
- 📅 More than 30 days before the tour: Full refund minus a 10% administrative fee.
- 📅 15–30 days before the tour: 50% refund of the total booking amount.
- 📅 Less than 15 days before the tour: No refund.
🏛️ Cancellation by SMT Tour
In rare cases, if SMT Tour must cancel a tour, you will receive a full refund. Whenever possible, we will also offer alternative dates or similar tour options.
🔄 Changes to Your Booking
Changes such as dates or number of travelers are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Please contact us as early as possible to make adjustments.
🌪️ Force Majeure
SMT Tour is not responsible for cancellations due to events beyond our control, including natural disasters, political unrest, or pandemics. We will assist with rescheduling or providing credit for future tours.
💳 Refund Process
Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–14 business days after cancellation confirmation.
