6 Days Simien Mountains Tour
Day 1: Gondar / Simien Mountains
Morning flight to Gondar and warm welcome. Drive to Debark for park permits and scout pickup. Short introductory walk from Michibiny to Sankaber (2-3 hours). Encounter gelada baboons. Overnight at Sankaber.
Day 2: Sankaber – Gich (3600 m)
Follow the northern escarpment eastward. Descend into Kaba Valley, climb to Gich Abyss. Visit Jinbar waterfall (530 m). Lunch by the river. Short hike to Kedadit for sunset views. Overnight at Gich.
Day 3: Imet Gogo – Ambarace (5-6 hrs)
Walk through Giant Lobelia fields to Imet-Gogo (3926 m) cliffs. Descend into Jinbahir River Valley with volcanic landscapes. Pass Erica Arboria fields to Aynameda where the jeep awaits. Drive back to Gondar for overnight.
Day 4: Bahir Dar – Blue Nile Falls
Drive to Tiss Abay to see the Blue Nile Falls (‘Tis Isat’). Explore fertile farmlands and local villages. Return to Bahir Dar for lunch. Afternoon visit to the local market. Overnight at Dellano Hotel or similar.
Day 5: Lake Tana Monasteries & Bahir Dar Market
Boat trip on Lake Tana to explore its island monasteries. Afternoon free time to visit Bahir Dar local market.
Day 6: Fly Back to Addis Ababa
Transfer to the airport for flight back to Addis Ababa. Arrival and transfer to hotel or airport. Tour ends.

📝 SMT Tour – Cancellation Policy
🙋♂️ Cancellation by You (the Traveler)
- 📅 More than 30 days before the tour: Full refund minus a 10% administrative fee.
- 📅 15–30 days before the tour: 50% refund of the total booking amount.
- 📅 Less than 15 days before the tour: No refund.
🏛️ Cancellation by SMT Tour
In rare cases, if SMT Tour must cancel a tour, you will receive a full refund. Whenever possible, we will also offer alternative dates or similar tour options.
🔄 Changes to Your Booking
Changes such as dates or number of travelers are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Please contact us as early as possible to make adjustments.
🌪️ Force Majeure
SMT Tour is not responsible for cancellations due to events beyond our control, including natural disasters, political unrest, or pandemics. We will assist with rescheduling or providing credit for future tours.
💳 Refund Process
Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–14 business days after cancellation confirmation.
