6 Days IT to the Lowland
Day 1: Gondar-Gich (3600m), 5-6 hrs
We drive from Gondar early morning to Debark, arrange park fees, pick the scout, then drive to Sankaber. Walk to Gich, enjoy northern escarpment, Kaba Valley, Gich Abyss, and Jinbar waterfall. Lunch by the river, settle at Gich camp spotting lammergeyer and thick-billed raven.
Day 2: Gich-Chennek (3600m), 7-8 hrs
Walk through Giant Lobelia fields to Imet-Gogo cliffs (3926 m), then descend into Jinbahir River Valley. Climb to 4070 m for lunch, then descend to Chennek camp. Watch for Walia Ibex in the late afternoon.
Day 3: Chennek-Sona (3100 m), 6-7 hrs
Head to Buwahit peak (4430 m) to see Walia Ibex. Walk downhill via edge trails to reach Sona camp near Imet-Gogo, enjoying magnificent window views.
Day 4: Sona-Mekarebia (2200m), 6-7 hrs
Walk through Sona village, enjoy slope-side views, swim at Insia river, experience local coffee ceremony, wash clothes, and continue to Mekarebia camp with bushy surroundings and evening shadows.
Day 5: Mekarebia-Mulit (1800m), 6-7 hrs
Cross the river multiple times, enjoy Derek-Wonz natural pool, short uphill to Awasza village, reach grassy plateau for final camp. Special farewell ceremony with campfire and “Eskista” dancing.
Day 6: Mulit-Adiarkay-Gondar
Short walk to Adiarkay, jeep pickup, drive to Axum. Check-in at Remehay Hotel, sightseeing including St. Mary Church, Archaeological Museum, Stelae, tombs, and palace.

📝 SMT Tour – Cancellation Policy
🙋♂️ Cancellation by You (the Traveler)
- 📅 More than 30 days before the tour: Full refund minus a 10% administrative fee.
- 📅 15–30 days before the tour: 50% refund of the total booking amount.
- 📅 Less than 15 days before the tour: No refund.
🏛️ Cancellation by SMT Tour
In rare cases, if SMT Tour must cancel a tour, you will receive a full refund. Whenever possible, we will also offer alternative dates or similar tour options.
🔄 Changes to Your Booking
Changes such as dates or number of travelers are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Please contact us as early as possible to make adjustments.
🌪️ Force Majeure
SMT Tour is not responsible for cancellations due to events beyond our control, including natural disasters, political unrest, or pandemics. We will assist with rescheduling or providing credit for future tours.
💳 Refund Process
Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–14 business days after cancellation confirmation.
